Signed "To my friend Eubie Blake, musician, thespian, trooper; an appreciation by the author, Willis N. Huggins, New York, Aug 20, 1937." Octavo, 8 3/4" tall, 224 pages + frontispiece and several black and white plates, gilt tiles on brown cloth. A very good minus over all, generally clean, sturdy hard cover with minor shelf wear and rubbing at the corners binding solid, BUT paper moderately yellowed with light foxing at the endpapers. In a fair, edge worn dust jacket, chipped at the fold edges and back strip, with front flap loose, and with the original price present. Includes a four page, 7" x 10" brochure from Huggin's Blyden Society laid in. A rare volume even without the author's inscription.1937
